After losing out on a couple horses earlier in the weekend, luck was finally with us as trainer Natalia Lynch and Blue Streak Racing were able to claim Dee Bo out of Race #3 at Aqueduct on Saturday, December 10th for our 2nd Holiday Claiming Partnership.

Going off as the 2-1 favorite, the 4-year-old NY-bred son of Majestic City stalked the pace and then pounced in the stretch, winning by a better-than-it-looked half a length.

The drama wasn’t over though, as we had to win a 7-way shake (as more than one trainer put in a claim, there was a mini lottery drawing after the race to see who took the horse). After losing a 9-way shake the previous day, the luck went our way, and Dee Bo will now be running under the Blue Streak Racing banner.

Dee Bo has been mostly running at Finger Lakes this year, but would occasionally swoop in to the NYRA tracks to pick up a purse (he owns wins at Saratoga and Belmont to go along w/Saturday’s Aqueduct victory). He’s made over $100k this year alone and is a welcome addition to the Blue Streak Racing stable lineup.

Last year’s Holiday Claiming Partnership got us to the winner’s circle with Gentle Annie, who is now a broodmare for Blue Streak Racing.

Limited shares are still available in our Holiday Claiming Partnership.  All the details are here.

Congrats to all our partners, and welcome Dee Bo!
