Our first managed horse – Viserion – sold on Monday, January 5, 2019, at the Keeneland January Sale. It was a pleasure to campaign her under the tutelage of Francis “Tres” Abbott III at Fair Hill. Viserion garnered two wins and a handful of placings in a dozen starts for Blue Streak Racing. We wish her new owners the best of luck as she heads off to what will hopefully be a successful second career as a broodmare.

As one door closes, another one will hopefully open. Our crack team is working the NYRA circuit, looking to claim a horse to run this winter at Aqueduct. More on that to come!

And just a quick barn update; Prairie Fire has been given a clean bill of health after a scare in her first start last September. She will begin light training in the next couple weeks with a target return to the races this Spring. Also on the mend, I’llHandalTheCash is spending the winter in central New Jersey and will look to return to the races when the turf reopens in New York this Spring.
