Rossa Veloce took on a tough field in the Franklin Square Stakes at Aqueduct on January 16th, facing the likes of stakes winners Laobanandaprayer and Vacay.

Rossa Veloce set the early pace, before fading in the stretch, finishing 4th. The Ray Handal-trained NY-bred daughter of Giralamo will now head to Florida for a mid-winter break before returning to to NY to begin her Spring-Summer campaign.

Rossa Veloce, out 2019 yearling purchase out of the Fasig-Tipton October sale, has made six career starts (five as a 2-year old), which include two wins and a stakes placing, and has earned in excess of $100,000 for the connections.
