Blue Streak Racing’s 3-year old filly Rossa Veloce took a trip out to Finger Lakes and came away a winner in a nice open-company allowance race on August 16.

A year to the day of her first race – and first win, at Saratoga – Rossa Veloce battled 9 other foes out of the gate, and drew away in the stretch to win by a comfortable 2 and 1/2 lengths under jockey Jalon Samuel.

Trainer Ray Handal hopes to run the filly back on the last day of the Saratoga meet.

Congrats to the entire Handal Racing team, and it’s great to see Rossa back in the winner’s circle!
