Blue Streak Racing continued its successful Winter meet at Aqueduct as Rossa Veloce took the 7th race on Thursday, March 31st. The 4-year old NY-bred daughter of Girolamo proved much the best, pulling away by almost 5 lengths in the stretch to win a nice allowance optional claimer at the Big A.
Trainer Ray Handal had Rossa in peak form for the race, and jockey Jalon Samuel provided the confident handling, letting her go in the stretch after stalking the early speed. We’re excited for the upcoming Summer, as Rossa has really come into her own as she’s matured.
Rossa Veloce is a product of our winning formula: buy inexpensive NY-bred yearlings, expertly chosen by our bloodstock team at Oracle Bloodstock and our trainers, nurture them in Florida, and try to get precocious runners. Stay tuned, as in a few short months we’ll be swinging into action for the next crop of yearlings. We’re always looking for new partners to come along for the ride. Contact us for more info.
