The 2019 Saratoga meet is halfway over, but the best is yet to come for Blue Streak Racing. We can now officially welcome our newest member to the barn; Karen’s Gem. The 4-year old Gemologist filly comes to us via a private purchase out of a claiming race at Belmont in July. Our trainer Ray Handal previously trained Karen, but lost her via the claim after only one start and has been eager to get her back. She has been training lights out here at Saratoga and we’re chomping on the bit (more even than her) to get her into the entries. If everything goes to plan, that’ll be near the end of the meet.
