Going Country, owned in partnership with The International Venture, Metahorse Racing and CFC Stables, ran in the 1st race at Saratoga on August 3rd, finishing 3rd in the Jonathan Kiser Novice Hurdles. Going Country is our initial foray into the world of steeplechasing and has so far won twice and finished 3rd in stakes races now twice.

The 6-year-old Irish-bred son of sire Yeats was sent of at 5-2 odds. After laboring over the first couple of fences, jockey Parker Hendricks coaxed Going Country to catch up and close for the show money.

Congrats to our partners, and trainer Keri Brion (who won the race with another entrant)! We’re looking forward to the 2nd half of the jump season. This boy is craving more distance and hopefully we’ll find a race to suit him.
