As the calendar continues to move forward in 2021, the horses who’ve turned a year older on January 1st continue their development, especially the newly minted 2-year olds.

Our 2-year old Point of Entry filly is one of many who continues to learn to be a racehorse in sunny Florida. And ours reached a couple milestones this week. Blue Streak partners chose the name Ribot’s Valentine for this filly, an homage to the great Tesio-bred stallion of the 1960’s, and the filly’s birthday of February 14th.

Perhaps more importantly, “Valentine” breezed her first 3/8ths of a mile this past week in company. All in attendance were encouraged by this filly’s progress, and we hope that our Saratoga dreams come true again this year. Stay tuned for more on Ribot’s Valentine and her goal of making it to the track, and maybe even the winner’s circle.

Ribot’s Valentine was a Keeneland September yearling purchase by our team at Oracle Bloodstock and trainer Ray Handal. The same team behind our stakes-placed 3-year old Rossa Veloce. Before you know it, it’ll be fall and we’ll be looking to purchase yearlings again. Get on our mailing list for the latest info on becoming a part of Blue Streak Racing!
