In a truly monumental effort, Blue Streak Racing’s Prairie Fire made it a memorable Friday at Saratoga Racecourse. The 3-year old daughter of Posse came off an 11-month layoff to take the 4th race for trainer Danny Gargan and jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. After some tense moments in the starting gate, and getting bumped badly at the start, Prairie Fire edged to the outside, took command on the turn, and won going away by 7 lengths!
Blue Streak Racing could have another couple chances to hit the board before the meet ends, as I’llHandaltheCash and Karen’s Gem are scheduled to run for trainer Ray Handal. Stay tuned for details!
