Anoint, our 4-year old daughter of Temple City, played catch me if you can, winning a first level PA-bred allowance race at Penn National on Friday, December 2nd.
Sent off at generous odds of 5-2, the Keri Brion trainee broke alertly, chased just off the pace then roared home in the stretch to win by double-digit lengths in only her 2nd start on the dirt.
This was a special win for Brion as Anoint, a Jonathan Shepherd homebred, won for the second time in her career on the Hall-of-Famer’s birthday.
Great work by the entire Fair Hill team to get Anoint ready, and the hope is for better things throughout the Winter. Stay tuned!
