Anoint, our 5-year-old Temple City mare, made her turf debut a winning one in a spicy allowance race at Laurel Park.
Anoint, trained by Keri Brion, has had previous success on both dirt and synthetic, but being bred by Hall-of-Famer Jonathan Sheppard, it was always thought that she’d show an affinity for the turf. Unfortunately, the weather this past Spring/Summer in the Midlantic was not conducive to turf racing. Finally, in her last race of the year, she got the ground she wanted and made it count!
Anoint will have a deserved rest for a couple months and be ready to tackle the turf in 2024. Congrats to all our partners!
